Owen's new phrase today is "no way". It is hilarious to hear him say it! We think that he got it from his book, "Who Stole the Cookie" b/c we can't think of where else it would have come from.
Last night was the Fall Festival at my school. Owen enjoyed the bean bag toss, he is very skilled at it. We all had fun on the jack-o-lantern lit walk on the school's new walking path. Most of the games & activities were too old for Owen, but he had fun meeting mommy's students. Although, he thought everyone looked pretty funny in their costumes. Unfortunately, the camera batteries died so we didn't get many pictures.
Owen loves to grab my purse & walk around the house w/ it. He even carries it out to the car for me sometimes. Steve is less than thrilled, of course. Notice how he wears it around his neck? That is b/c he sees Steve carry bags around his neck when he brings Owen in from the car.
Sorry for the close-up images, Owen's new thing is walking right up to the camera, saying "mine" & trying to take the camera.
I am blessed to be the mother of an amazing 5 year old boy, Owen. He has a whole host of medical issues, many of which remain unsolved. However, he is bright, adorable & hilarious. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall and we are both excited and nervous.
I work with students with autism. It is incredibly challenging and incredibly rewarding.
We try to bring some crafts & some laughs to every day.
